Home-grown British talent Daniel Sandler has been a makeup artist and leader in his field for over 20 years. Throughout this time Daniel has developed his knowledge and huge talent for creating stunning looks. One of his fortes is making these looks wearable for real women and being able to show and explain just how easy makeup can be.

Over the years, Daniel has worked on both sides of the Atlantic and all over Europe on a number of shoots with high profile photographers for top publications and with designers backstage at a number of fashion shows including Tom Ford for Gucci, Tommy Hilfiger and Jenny
Packham. More recently Daniel continued to work with celebrities and spends a least one day a month working with customers at his Urban Retreat counter.

CONCEALERS
The best concealers are light reflecting with a little bit of yellow tone to neutralise the blue tinge that most people have around the inner corner of their eye.
HOW THE PROS DO IT
Apply with a fine brush similar to a lip brush to the darkest area. Blend (don’t drag) with your middle finger and wipe away any excess with a cotton bud. Go easy on powder here as it will enhance fine lines.
DS Tip: Rehydrate your concealer with a brush dipped in a little moisturizer
FINISHING All-over shimmer can flatten and hide the contours of your face so non-shimmery powders such as the Daniel Sandler On The Loose are best, and save highlighter for accentuating certain areas such as cheek and brow bones.
HOW THE PROS DO IT
Dip a large brush into powder then shake gently before sweeping over your face in light downward strokes. If you prefer a powder puff, dip it in the powder, shake off excess then use a gentle rolling action to press it over your face.
DS Tip- Use the lightest touch when applying powder, especially around the eyes, there’s nothing more ageing than a floury face!
EYES Three shades are all you need for beautiful eyes; a highlighter, a mid-tone and a dark shade for accentuating eye shape
HOW THE PROS DO IT
Apply the lightest shade over the lid up to the brow as a base. The mid-tone then goes in the socket and under the eye close to the lashes and slightly blended out and up towards the temple area. Then the darkest shade is applied close to the upper and lower lashline.
DS TIP-To help eyeshadow stay on longer and blend effortlessly, dust your eye lids with a little loose powder before applying any colour
LASHES
Mascara accentuates your eyes with beautiful, fluttery lashes and is one of the most important items in your makeup bag. For flirty, daywear lashes or thick, luscious lashes for nightwear the Daniel Sandler Jet Mascara add length and condition with a natural finish.
HOW THE PROS DO IT
Curl your lashes and apply mascara to the top lashes paying particular attention to the outer edge to help open up the eye. Add a little to your lower lashes for definition.
DS Tip -To open up your eyes when you need a bit of extra help, run a little of the Daniel Sandler Eye Brightening Pencil around the inside of the eye
CHEEKS
Everyone looks younger with a little colour in their face, so always have 3 shades in your bag. One should be a nude shade to contour under the cheek bone, one rosy to give a fresh glow in the apple of your cheeks, and one shade to highlight your cheekbones.
HOW THE PROS DO IT
Smile and apply Blush to the apple of the cheeks. If you have a slightly round face then just sweep the brush up and outwards towards your hairline
DS TIP: Calm over-use of blusher by sweeping a little powder over cheeks
